TICE introduces FBMplus

LARC from Durham Sixth Form

TICE has many strands and one of these is facilitating workshop in business, enterprise and entrepreneurship – obviously in very creative ways!. For the second year in a row, TICE has been contracted by Business Durham to co-ordinate a business competition for sixth form and FE colleges based in Durham County.

FBMplus, is a competition which has spun from the infamous Future Business Magnates (FBM) competition which has ran in Durham schools for 10 years. Both programmes enable young people to produced business ideas through a series of challenges resulting in a Final where the competition winners are announced.

FBMplus, started in 2013-14, with a pilot competition with 3 schools/colleges: Durham Sixth Form Centre, Bishop Auckland College and East Durham College. The pilot saw 5 business teams battle it out to be crowned FBMplus first competition winner.

This year, 2014-15 we’ve extended our scope and also welcome St Leonard’s Catholic School and also Framwellgate School Durham we currently have 8 teams going through the competition and it’s challenges. We’ll keep you updated!
