This project is all about the love of a sport but through a camera lens. This type of photography keeps us connected to the sports we love. If we miss the action live, we can see the photos later. We can follow our favourite athletes as they prepare, perform or compete.

Sports photographers take fast-action photographs at indoor and outdoor sporting events. These are often action photographs of players and individuals. They try to use their photography to capture the emotion in the game or competition. Sports photographers give us ring-side seats and backstage passes. They give amateurs at home a professional’s eye view. They fuel our interest and keep us involved - now some TICE students invite us to see their sporting stories.

Project Outcome

TICE students were tasked to produce a series of photo documentary images telling the story of a sport, game or athlete. Ther final images have created a stunning piece of photojournalism either through video or still images.

A huge congratulations goes to Darcy Holmes and Zara Oakes from Durham School, and Andrew Short, Millie Scott, and Cole Stewart from Duchess' Community High School for their dedication, motivation and smiles.
